These celebs wore the outfits so well they really deserved to keep them for life.

The outfits that actors wear when playing film and television characters can make a huge impression on viewers.

Who could forget Fran Drescher’s many chic fashion statements as Fran Fine in The nanny?

Or Henry Winkler’s great leather jacket as Fonzie in Happy Days?

After filming is complete, celebs may be able to keep the clothes they wore for a project. These 19 lucky actors took home their iconic looks.


Ashley Tisdale held Sharpay’s high school musical outfits.

In 2018, Ashley said the first item she took home from a set was “Sharpay’s entire wardrobe from the start high school musical movie.” Disney later made efforts to get some of the iconic outfits back from her, but Ashley didn’t budge.

“Did I think I’d wear them on the red carpet? Probably back then,” Ashley said of the outfits. “A lot of our clothes are in the Hall of Fame, and they didn’t have Sharpay stuff. Disney tried so hard to get the clothes from me and I said, ‘No, this is mine.’ So yeah, they don’t have any of the clothes from the first movie. Me, yes.”

In a 2014 Oprah: Where are you now? Episode, Ralph showed some karate kid Memorabilia he took home after filming the 1984 film: the trophy his character Daniel LaRusso wins at the end of the film, as well as the floral headband that was a central part of the character’s wardrobe. Two of these headbands were used on set after actor Pat Morita found the accessory in his bag and “just decided to put it on [Ralph]”During filming.

The actor has since donned the headband again while reprising his role for the Netflix series that continues karate kid Plot, Cobra Kai.


Gabrielle Union rocked them Bring it on cheerleader uniform almost 20 years after she played Isis in the film.

Gabrielle told People in 2017 that her cheerleading outfit was Clovers from the 2000 comedy, Bring it on, was still sitting in her closet. Two years later, Gabrielle was back in uniform in a Halloween costume photo posted to Instagram. Their daughter, Kaavia James Union Wade, wore her own matching cheerleading outfit in the picture. Gabrielle captioned the adorable photo, “Brought It.”

“I don’t know if Dan [Levy] know that, but I also took the dress that Alexis is wearing from her cabaret Auditioning – the ‘A Little Bit Alexis’ dress, that’s a purple baby doll thing that I’ll never wear, but it was a special scene,” said Annie.

Dead Pool was made after Ryan had spent about a decade pushing the project forward. After filming wrapped on the long-awaited movie, Ryan told MSN he has no hesitation in keeping his character’s suit, according to Cinema Blend.

“I loved wearing it and I walked away with one – I’ll probably get in trouble for saying this but I’ve waited 10 years to do this film so I’m going with a frigging suit,” said Ryan.

For years, Olivia owned the ensemble she wore as Sandy in the epic post-makeover scene Fat before auctioning off the outfit in 2019. Her famous skinny pants sold for more than $162,000, while her equally famous leather jacket fetched $243,200. A portion of the proceeds from the auction benefited the Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Research Center.

The brown leather jacket that Henry donned as Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli Happy Days is a historical accessory for the television wardrobe. A few of these jackets have been worn by Henry throughout the series, such as one that has been in the Smithsonian Museum since 1980.

Henry told The Hollywood Reporter in 2021 that he plans to auction off one of the jackets, with a portion of the proceeds going to the nonprofit organization This Is About Humanity. He also owns another original Fonzie leather jacket.

In 2018, Daniel announced that he had some souvenirs from the Harry Potter Franchise, like glasses from Harry.
