Justin Timberlake just discovered that hell may not have legal rage like a despised documentary director.
The former NSYNC member is being sued in federal court by longtime music video boss John Urbano over a film based on Timberlake’s blockbuster The 20/20 experience Album that never saw the light of day. As part of a profit-sharing scheme allegedly initiated by Timberlake, he and advertising veteran Urbano would film the documentary under the radar and launch it alongside the release of the long-awaited album.
Literally defining a win-win situation for all parties if executed as planned.
That was the plan.
But although the finished film brought the singer “to tears,” according to the filing, WME reiterated Timberlake’s interest in making it “fade further.” 20/20 experiencehis first solo album in several years took off.
