Hello everyone and welcome to the week! It’s time again for a recap of the notable updates of the past seven days. I thought about taking the day off since it’s a holiday in the United States, but that’s just the kind of day some people need to read, isn’t it? So here I am with a nice list of game updates for you to check out. Of course, you can keep an eye out for updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly recap is just there to let you know about the things you may have missed. Here we go!
LEGO® Star Wars™: CastawaysOther LEGO Star Wars castaways Update, another event associated with a war of stars Thing. It looks like we’re going to dive into the world of this time Star Wars: Rebels, which allows you to earn minifigure parts for the show’s main characters. There are also some new customizations for alien species like Twi’lek and Lasat. Nice to see more fan-favorite characters and character types coming into play.
Tiny Tower: 8-bit retro tycoonFree
Tiny Tower celebrates July 4th with a bang in its latest update. There’s a special event happening where you can find fireworks and set them off to earn free treats, some of which are clearly US-focused. Her tower will also be adorned with American flags and hamburger dishes, among other decorations. This update also adds a new research mechanic where resources can be sunk. The Independence Day event is limited, but these tech trees and points will be available from now on.
Vigil RPG$1.99 This new update for Vigil RPG adds haptic feedback to the game, because why not? Now you can feel those big hits of the monsters. It also fixes a text display issue and improves some of the UI elements to give you better information. Reason enough to play the game again, and if you’ve never tried it before, consider this your cue.
SPexclamationpointING has some new levels, as is usually the case when a new update arrives for this game. Rock around like there’s no tomorrow in the slick new seventh chapter of the highly creative Lost Levels set. You have to bring everything with you SP!ING Experience and skills on the table to conquer them. I believe in you. Complete and perfect faith. Before you get started, let me just build this web. And this plastic wrap for the audience. OK, walk.
LEGO® brawls, surprise bags! Everyone loves a mystery bag. It might contain something you want! Probably not, but it might! Surely, surprise bags aren’t a place to store unsold and overproduced items that stores wouldn’t otherwise be able to move. Now that there is no physical inventory in mobile games, I’m sure Mystery Bags are free to be what they ideally should be. Especially if the game is not a free-to-play game. You can earn up to three Mystery Bags per week LEGO brawls now simply by a few fights. You probably wanted to do that anyway! Apart from these new goodies, this latest version fixes some bugs and introduces some performance improvements.
Disney Heroes: Battle ModeFree This game is looking a bit overshadowed now reflection is widespread, but far from finished. There are a few new playable characters in this version of the game, and they’re decently deep draws. Out of Kim Possible comes Duff Killigan, the angry Scotsman who thinks he’s the world’s deadliest golfer. Guess he’s never seen it me swing a bat. The other new character comes from Disney’s Atlantis, and is in fact one of the main characters of the film. Milo Thatch is here, I don’t know research the opponents to death or something. Add the usual bug fixes and improvements and we’re ready to go.
FLIP HANZ GOLFBefore this game, developer ClapHanz was best known for his Hot Shots/Everyone’s Golf Games for different PlayStation platforms. This is relevant information because this latest update brings Clap Hanz Golf a little bit closer to that legacy. There’s now a triple-tap shot type that you might know as the standard style seen in most golf video games since…I think Nintendos golf on the NES? There’s also a new playable character here, a new mode, some new caddy costumes, and more. I will give the coveted UMMSotW Award for this week because I like Triple Tap so much. Mario Golf Super Rushplease note.
Spire explosion, I guess this is vaguely free and puzzling enough to qualify as this week’s mandatory free-to-play matching puzzle update. I agree with you: I forgot to put it in and I’m trying to make lemonade out of my own tart lemons now. In any case, this update adds twenty new levels set in the Enchanted Woods, as well as some new flytrap enemies that snatch balls that they can. Top it off with a bit of tweaking, a bit of bug fixing, and a bit of performance improvement. That’s about what you would want in an update I think.
MARVEL Puzzle Quest: Hero RPG, Free Oh wait right this is a free matching puzzle game. Okay, we’re covered now one way or the other. The Gargantos Boss Event is back! Do you remember Gargantos? The legally separate eye monster who has never heard of Shuma-Gorath in his life? In this Doctor Strange Movie that everyone saw the first weekend and then agreed never to watch again? yes this one The back. Kind. This version also has some free rewards related to Marvel’s Hellfire Gala, as well as a Jean Gray (Phoenix) PVP arena and the return of Puzzle Ops. Good Good.
Subway surfersFree We end things with a game that is not alien to these virtual sites, Subway surfers. This time the kids are going to Iceland for a sunny summer vacation. Try the Super Runner Staged Challenge and see if you can get Super Runner Fresh and his Boombastic Board for your character collection. Play the Season Hunt mode and try to unlock Clementine and her Frosty outfit, or jump into the World Tour events and try out some classic locations from the past.
This concludes the important updates of the last week. However, I’m sure I’ve missed a few, so don’t hesitate to comment below and let everyone know if you think something should be mentioned. As usual, important updates will likely get their own messages later this week, and I’ll be back next Monday to wrap up and fill in the blanks. Have a great week!
